|  Adopt a Rescue for Your Next PetWe strongly support rescuing pets. Ten years ago we found Josie, a starving pup, wandering the parking lot of an adult school in Pacoima where we were teaching English. After picking her up, we bonded immediately. Unknown to us, she came with a touch of parvovirus. With the help of our vet, and two vet techs who were family friends, we set up a "hospital" in our bathroom with an IV drip hooked over the shower door, and meds, and she was saved!
One year later, after our rescue Konky (b.1990) passed, Josie needed a playmate. Having been happy owners of two Dobermans, Domino (b.1969) and Pepper (b.1980), we knew another one would be the perfect fit. We called Doberman Rescue, and they told us to bring Josie along. We adopted Logan, a sweet boy who showed signs of abuse. The two became instant friends and today still romp together and take care of each other. With much TLC, Logan became a very happy and loving boy.
